Aadhaar bill and its money bill status
The Aadhar Act has always been controversial for one or other reasons. When it was introduced in 2010 by UPA governemnt, there were credible issues regarding its implementation, privacy and securtiy. When Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial & Other Subsidies, Benefits & Services) Act, 2016 was introduced by NDA governement, issues arose about its mandatory sage and its status as money bill . Right to Privacy is not a fundamental right provided by Indian Constitution and this fact has been stressed by the incumbent governemnt. But it is important to remember that it isnt about freeedom and equality, privacy is a treasurable value in itself.
