Obamas legacy and Trumps agenda on afghanistan
When he stepped into the Oval office of White House at the start of his Presidency, Barack Obama expressed concerns about the safe havens in Pakistan and that he ll ensure their degradation. But as he demits office after 8 years of his Presidency, he leaves behind the longest lasting and least successful U.S. war in history - Afghanistan. The focus of American foreign policy under Obama was Pakistan-centric rather than Afghanistan. It is important that his successor, Donald Trump, do whatever means available to him to change course in Afghanistan.
