Ranking of India is very low in Doing Business 2017 Report
The World Bank group has recently has released its annual report titled ‘doing business 2017: equal opportunity for all’. between last and this year’s report, India’s overall rank has improved only one place from 131 to 130 among 190 countries. the goal of rising up to top 50 ranks still remains a distant dream but the country’s low rank is not the result of one last year but the accumulated negligence, ignorance and mistakes since independence. given the reticence of private sector, the state’s massive interference in the direction and management of the economy has resulted in immense dependence on some structures like bureaucracy and organizations like public sector enterprises. There is a need for more reforms in the economy. it is important to ease the starting of business, resolving insolvency, construction permits, getting credit, protecting minority investors, and paying taxes.
