Union budget 2017-18 how it fared
The Finance Minister presented the Union Budget 2017-18 which he emphasized reflected the philosophy of his government to Transform, Energise and Clean India. While starting with the accomplishments of the government most of which were exaggerated or irrelevant, his presentation was knowledgeable and businesslike but specific about the interventions that he wanted to intimate. The macroeconomic credentials of the Budget truly are impressive. The government seem set on a fiscal consolidation path following a statesmanlike quality which should augur well for the nation.
