Summary of World Focus Magazine February 2016

Theme:

Present edition discusses every aspect of terrorism and its relation to geopolitics. It presents the loose definition of terrorism and its various causes. Some of the causes are ethnicity and identity; others’ are socio-economic deprivations. Turbulent situation in West Asia fuelled due to ethnic conflicts combined with intervention of extra-regional power have compelled the region to enter the most destructible anti-humanitarian conflicts. The rise of ISIS is perceived to be a foul play of U.S. interventionist approach in the West Asia and the Middle-East regions. Further the strategy adopted by the U.S. in containing this group seems inadequate.
