Digital Divide

The term defines unequal access to Internet among people and among countries. Lack of access to internet or for that matter Information & Communication Technology (ICT) means lack of access to information. This creates economic and social inequality within the society and between the countries. There is a wide technological gap between developed and developing countries. Even Children face inequality in terms of learning outcomes. Without clearing this divide, there will be concentration of wealth and power in the hands of few be it individuals or organisations or countries.
