Duopolistic

In market situations, it refers to a condition where a commodity or service is produced or provided by only two companies or entities. In the present world, many markets scenarios are becoming duopolies with the rise of mega companies. This is stifling competition in the market and is leaving consumers with no option but to follow the whims and fancies of these companies. The term is also used in political situations where power is concentrated by two persons or two groups or two parties.
